At Heal Specialist Urgent Care we aim to make health care easy and we do this in our partner clinic, Heal Specialist After Care.
Pre-book.
To help you on the road to recovery, a Heal Specialist After Care appointment will be pre-booked for you in the week following your injury.
This appointment provides an opportunity to review your injury and recovery with our specialist orthopaedic surgeons, Ethos Health physiotherapy and Hunter Hand Rehabilitation teams. If more x- rays are needed to guide recovery, these are also completed and reviewed on the spot. The plan for your healing journey is made from here with the help of the expert team in Heal After Care.
Cost
Your initial appointment with the expert Heal Specialist Fracture Clinic will cost $195, with a rebate from Medicare of $78.05, leaving you $116.95 out of pocket. See our fee schedule for further details. Second and subsequent appointments attract a medicare rebate of $39.25.
Hand therapy
Appointments with Heal Hand Therapy cost $125. Given this is an allied health appointment, no rebates are available from Medicare, however you may be able to claim a rebate from your Private Health Insurance (PHI)*
Consumables
If extra casts, equipment or treatments are required, we will discuss these options with you at the appointment.
*rebates from PHIs depend on your insurer, the level of cover, and what that cover includes. As this is an outpatient service, your Medicare gap will contribute towards your Medicare Safety Net.
